Bally Beaded Leather Small Model Shoe, Switzerland, c. 1901

An Exceptional Example of Early 20th Century Bally

This rare small model shoe was produced around 1901 by the world-renowned Swiss shoemaker Bally. Crafted from fine black leather, the shoe reflects the elegance and superior workmanship for which Bally became internationally celebrated at the turn of the century.

The surface is richly embellished with intricate embroidery executed in black glass beads, creating a refined decorative effect that perfectly complements the shoe's elegant silhouette. A graceful high heel further enhances its fashionable appearance and makes it a remarkable example of early Edwardian footwear design.

Original Bally Marking

Inside, the shoe retains its original gold-embossed maker's mark reading:

“Bally * Switzerland”

This original marking confirms its authenticity and adds to its desirability as a collector's item representing one of Switzerland's most prestigious historic luxury brands.

Condition

The shoe is preserved in very good antique condition. The leather shows some expected dryness consistent with its age, but the overall appearance remains remarkably well maintained. The beadwork is intact, and the shoe displays beautifully.
