This Jacques Doucet sheer lace and cotton blouse, dating to ca. 1910, represents the refined elegance and meticulous craftsmanship of Belle Époque Haute Couture. Bearing the prestigious label Doucet, 21 Rue de la Paix, Paris, the blouse exemplifies the sophisticated aesthetic that made Doucet one of the most celebrated designers of his era.

Exquisite Materials & Construction

The bodice, crafted from cream lace and cotton, features a stand collar, dolman sleeves with buttoned cotton cuffs, and a center‑front row of covered buttons. An asymmetrical net ruffle cascades down the left front, adding movement and delicacy. The blouse closes at the center back with hooks and eyes, while the interior sheer lining is gathered into a wide internal waistband, ensuring structure and fit.

Condition & Included Skirt

The exterior of the bodice is in very good condition, while the underarms of the sheer lining show expected signs of wear and perspiration damage. The accompanying white linen skirt is also in very good condition, with only a few small stains. Decorative items shown in photographs (including the belt) are not included.
