Pattern shoes were made for traveling merchants so they could present the latest shoe fashions to their clientele, often in the countryside. These sample shoes are made of leather; they are closed with three buttons each. Printed on the leather sole: La Duchesse. Very well preserved. Some scuff marks on the leather sole.
