Shoes with flat soles are very difficult to date. They practically existed for almost three decades. Only the toe part has changed: from pointed to flat. We date these shoes to the 1850's. They come from America. They are made of cream silk. Decorated with a large bow on each. White kidskin insole. Traces of wear on the sole. Some stains. Torn silk in the heel area. For this they get the rating: moderately good to well preserved.
