Rare stripped silk shoes from the Rococo Era, ca. 1760-1770. Origin: France. In France it’s the time from Louis XV. Louis XV (15 February 1710 – 10 May 1774), known as Louis the Beloved was a monarch of the House of Bourbon who ruled as King of France from 1 September 1715 until his death in 1774. He succeeded his great-grandfather Louis XIV at the age of five.
Cream and brown silk shoes with black taffeta border. Ruffled silk in the shoe front. Wooden heel, covered with cream leather. Brown leather sole. Cream leather lining. For this age: Not so good to good condition. Sings of use and age. Thin silk in the heel area. Shattered silk.
