Rococo Shoes, 1790s
Black leather shoes from the late rococo period. They were made and worn in America. Half round toe. Typical heel for the shoes of this period. Decorative silk bows. Brown leather sole. Inside a light leather sole. Decent abrasion in the leather. The seam at the top edge is partially unraveled. Seam in heel area has been resewn (and not very well). More petite design. Perhaps made for a young woman. However, all in all, this does not matter. The decoration is not included.
