In the 1860s, shoe decorations became particularly popular. They were inspired by 18th century fashion. These shoes here are white Chevreau leather shoes from America. The shoes are decorated with white Chevreau leather bows. Small wooden heel covered with leather. In 1863, shoes with bows like these appeared for the first time. Around 1870 they had disappeared again. Therefore these shoes can be easily dated. Well preserved. Minor stains and signs of age. Nothing unusual in such fragile shoes. A small defect in the leather on one of the heels.
