Shoes from the late rococo period, ca. 1794. Origin: probably England. Made of black kidskin. Italian heels. Lined with cotton inside. Pink leather applications in the toe area. The extended pointed toes make the shoe appear narrower. A foot as small as possible was considered to be distinguished and elegant.
The shoes are generally well to very well preserved - for the very old age. Leather with discreet crackle pattern. Loss of pigment on the heels. Slightly faded pink ornamental elements with slight leather pitting. Very rare to find. Decoration is not included (incl. overshoes).
