Pair of Ladies Cream Grosgrain Heeled Ankle Boots, ca. 1830-1850. With side lacing and fabric rosettes on the upper front, known as ''Adelaides'' (named after the Queen Consort of King William IV). Glazed cream cotton lining, inner silk panel behind the lacing for wearer's comfort, unlabeled. Heel height ca. 2.5 cm. Good to very good condition. Slightly grubby, very slight wear to silk overall, evidence of partial manufacturer's stamp to sole (illegible - mostly rubbed away), soles showing evidence of nibbling. The decoration is not included.
