Antique-Gown

Walking or promenade hat, ca. 1898. Thus, it dates from the last years of the Victorian era. Origin: American collection. The hat is made of straw and decorated with white tull and roses (along with leaves). There are also four roses on the underside of the hat brim. Maybe it is a wedding hat after all? After so long, no one can tell for sure. Inside the hat is lined with white linen. An original hat pin. Very good to excellent original condition. Decoration is not included.
