Unique bonnet from the Victorian period, ca. 1885. Origin: England. The hood is a successful combination of silk, straw, ostrich feathers, velvet and fabric flowers. The feathers make the hood look bigger and more imposing. In the back very nicely decorated with bows and rosebuds. Other fabric flowers complete the colorful bouquet. Bonnets of this type were worn on festive occasions - for example, in church. The neighbor on the back seat should have the splendor of the hood constantly in front of her eyes - and thus the wealth of the wearer. The bonnet is in very good to excellent condition. Its original box is still present. This shows signs of age and wear. A unique convolute.
