Lavender Floral Bonnet, ca. 1885
Lavender silk flowers, purple velvet and silk chiffon, green oil cloth leaves. Lavender silk flowers encircle turn back brim around crown. Crown top covered with green leaves. Large purple velvet ribbon bow top left. Purple chiffon wrapped at crown top edge. Lavender silk ribbon ties. Black silk lining. Label: T.A. Chapman Co., Milwaukee, Wis. The bonnet is in very good condition. The hat shows light wear throughout and at flower edges. Shows some wear at fabric on crown edge. White writing on label. The silk ribbon ties are replaced. Condition issues commensurate with a hat over 130 years old! The decoration is not included.
