This is one of the most beautiful umbrellas we have ever had. Probably a wedding umbrella or stroll parasol worn around the year 1880. We suspect: Chinese silk and embroidery made for the European market. The cover is richly embroidered. The edges are designed with silk, which is folded and deliberately frayed. Umbrella tip and handle are made of bone. The umbrella stick is made of wood painted white. The inner umbrella is made of silk. Two original silk tassels attached to the umbrella tip. The cover is in excellent condition. The inner shade has few tears and holes. An exceptional umbrella that will adorn any collection. The decoration is not included.
