Wow, wow, what an umbrella! Probably a wedding umbrella or stroll umbrella worn around the year 1905. Made in Spain, Madrid. Label of Leon Yves on the inside of the original box. The cover is richly, almost lavishly decorated on one side and very plain on the other. We have never seen this combination on an umbrella before. Successful! Silk bows decorate the cover, but also the handle. The lace on the edge corresponds with the lace on the cover. The umbrella stick and the handle are made of white painted wood. The inner shade is made of silk. The cover is in excellent condition. The inner shade has few tears and holes. What is exceptional: the original box is still present. It is covered with silk. Folded silk on the cover. Very well preserved. The trimmings at one point on the edge of the lid are coming loose. It can be easily reattached. An exceptional shade that will adorn any collection. The decoration is not included.
