Very rare stroll umbrella from the Empire period, ca. 1800-1820. Origin: France. The rails are made of wood and hand-forged metal. The stick is made of mahogany wood. The handle is made of wood, silver and resin. The umbrella is hinged and lockable with a brass cartouche. The tip is made of leg, but probably added later. Brown tassel that matches the brown silk fabric and dark brown fringe. A small hole in the handle that was probably intended for a tassel. This is missing. Original case for storage. For the age: in good to very good condition. One rail of wood is broken and would need repair. The decoration is not included.
