Elegant stroll umbrella, ca. 1870, made by the renowned company Cazal, which had branches in Paris and London. The parasol is covered with black silk. The umbrella is decorated with ostrich feather tips sewn into the edge of the cover. The handle, stick and tip are made of imitation dark tortoiseshell. Two tassels adorn the tip of the umbrella. The inside is lined with black silk. The umbrella is foldable so that it can be easily stowed away. Another mechanism in the umbrella tip allows the umbrella to be tilted and locked in place. In very good to excellent condition. Probably missing a few feathers.
