Carriage umbrella from the Biedermeier period, ca. 1830-1835. The umbrella leaf is made of brown moiré silk. Decorated with long fringes. The rails are made of wood and hand-forged metal. The stick is made of wood. The tip and handle are made of bone. The umbrella is foldable. It is locked in place with a metal cartridge. In very good condition. Subtle signs of age and wear. Very rare to find.
