Antique-Gown

There are accessories that do not reveal themselves even to us at first sight. This was the case with this small accessory from the English company Sphere. Were these ribbons for corsets worn as garters, as enhancers under the shoulder straps of heavy flapper dresses or even as garters? After some thought, we decided on the latter option. Ladies used them to fasten their long silk stockings to their thighs to keep them from slipping. Excellently preserved.
