Tobacco case from the Victorian period, ca. 1870. Monogram on one side of the lid, inscription "Tabac" and a bordered "coat of arms" on the other side. Among other things, four cigarettes or cigars are depicted here. The case was used for storing these "smouldering stems". Metal frame with a sliding closure. Inside lined with blue moiré silk. Well preserved. A small dent on the side with the monogram. The decoration is not included.
