Rare set of sports memorabilia consisting of a competition medal and a membership card.
The membership card is from the 1st Leipolstadt Athletes Club from Vienna. Issued to Jakob Valasek. Matching original CDV, which was recorded in Vienna. The medal is from 1909 and probably comes from competitions in Břeclav. Enamel decoration and decoration with ruby stones.
Břeclav is a South Moravian town in what is now the Czech Republic. It lies on the Dyje River and on the border with Lower Austria. In 1909, the town belonged to the Austro-Hungarian Empire. We acquired the collection many years ago in Prague. They were in our private collection for a long time.
