Lorgnette with the slightly magnifying glasses in the frame, ca. 1870-1880. In original box from Curry & Paxton, 195. Gt. Portland Street, London. Meant to be worn as a pendant around the neck, although often a chain was used too, for ladies as well as gentlemen. A divine decorative piece for those of you who love Victoriana, how perfect these will look on display on top of a small stack of French leather bound books on your library side table as an accent. Beautiful antique condition.
