Antique-Gown

This Paisley shawl/stole is of wool and is elegant and beautiful in it's design. Original from France. It has a cream centre, cones at each end in a very decorative style and is woven in red, blue and tan on cream. There is fringing at both ends. It is typical of the 1820s. The condition is excellent. Minimal sings of storage. Small stains. 2-3 small repairs. The decoration is not included. Provenance: Museum of the City of New York.
