Beautifully embroidered ladies' shawl from the late Rococo period. A fichu is a triangular shawl, usually worn by women over the shoulders. The scarf was crossed at the chest and fastened with a brooch. In this way, the breast openings of the dresses of the time could be covered somewhat.
This muslin shawl has a double collar and is decorated with lace along the edge. In very good to excellent condition.
