Romantic Period Paper Cut, dated 1848
A fashionable gem: a silhouette from 1848, from the late Biedermeier period. A man unknown to us, who has had himself depicted, gives his likeness to his beloved Henriette "for eternal remembrance". It is a Christmas gift, dated December 26, 1848. He himself wears a light vest over a light shirt and a dark frock coat. The whole appearance is completed with a nice tie. Excellent condition of preservation. The silhouette is safely stored behind glass.
