Very nice waistcoat or french frock coat, from the era of Directoire, about 1800. Origin: France. The waistcoat is closed in the front with 11 buttons. The back is made of a cotton fabric, inside it is lined with linen. Directoire fashion is rather plain - the elaborately embroidered vests of the late 18th century have disappeared. The colors red-white-blue, the French national colors, predominate. The silk is very well preserved. And what is very rare: the vest is wearable. The size allow it. The decoration is not included.
