Very rare and complete men's golf ensemble from the 1920s. Origin: Germany. The ensemble consists of a pair of linen trousers, a cotton shirt, a tie, a wool vest, a cap, golf shoes with cramps (removable), plaid wool socks, a golf bag and golf clubs. The ensemble is in good to very good condition. The shirt has some yellowing (a wash would do the shirt good). The pants have some stains and two buttons are missing. The shoes have more obvious wear marks. But none of this matters. Without pocket watch chain.
The first golf course in Germany was built in Berlin in 1890 and the first club was founded in Berlin in 1895. The German Golf Association was finally founded in Hamburg in 1907. Gradually, golf became an international popular sport. Today, millions of people around the world play this sport.
