Men's braces, ca. 1860-1870, origin: America. The braces are embroidered. Classic braces do not have clips, but leather rollers with which they are buttoned to the trousers. At the front, the buttons are located to the right and left of the fly; at the back, fabric tabs with buttons protrude from the centre of the waistband. The length can be adjusted using a buckle. But there are also other ways to fasten them. These may have been sewn on. In very good condition. Very decorative.
