Very distinctive boudoir robe, ca. 1875. Origin: America. Made from a thin batiste, decorated with lace. Robes of this kind were worn by the lady of the house in the early morning - often casually pulled over the sleeping shirt. She was still in her boudoir - at most accompanied by her chambermaid. Long train with a Watteau pleat. ¾ long sleeves. Closure in the front with small buttons. Very well preserved. Two buttons missing, a few professionally repaired areas, very few light spots. Decoration is not included.
