Very distinctive boudoir robe, ca. 1875. Origin: America. Made from a thin batiste, decorated with lace. Robes of this kind were worn by the lady of the house in the early morning - often casually pulled over the sleeping shirt. She was still in her boudoir - at most accompanied by her chambermaid. Long train with a Watteau pleat. Long sleeves. Closure in the front with small buttons. Very good to excellent condition. One little stain. Decoration is not included.
