It’s very hard to find jewellery from the Victorian Era with the original photos of the wearer and the jewellery. We found this piece of jewellery and two original photos, both from Hamburg, Germany. Such a convolute is extremely rare!
The brooch is made of gold (in the “archaeological stile”; 585/1000, tested and certificated) and an Italian coral cabochon, made ca. 1870.
The first photography, made by F.L. Giffey in Hamburg, shows the mother. She wear the brooch on a black velvet ribbon. The second photography, made by Benque & Kindermann, ca. 1890, shows the daughter. She wear the brooch classical, on a blouse.
This lot is in very good condition. The decoration is not included.
