Sticks: wood painted in black color
Leaf: hand-painted barn swallows in flight; "Nous revenons" (we return) written on the upper right; mustard-colored leaf made of silk. Probably a souvenir fan from a French seaside resort on the Mediterranean coast. As the swallows come back every year, so the bathers want to come back (the fan is to remind them of the promise).
Condition: very good, a few sings of use and age
