Shoes with "Turkish Toes", Isle of Man, ca. 1905-1919
In the 1890s, this kind of shoes became fashionable again. They had been before - in the 18th century, then disappeared again. But the shoes with the upward curved toes in Turkish or oriental style could not catch on. They disappeared again. This pair comes from the Isle of Man. We acquired it from an English collection. Made in the style of loafers, of red leather. Good to very good condition. The shoes are sold without shoe trees.
