Antique-Gown

Large lampshade hat, ca. 1912. This antique hat from the Titanic era comes from an American collection. It is made of black velvet and decorated with sequins, fabric flowers and ostrich feathers. The inside is lined with light-colored satin velvet. Two original hat pins from the period are still in the hat. Very well preserved for its age. A small tear in the satin silk; the fabric flowers show signs of wear, but are still original. The decoration is not included.
