Elegant Summer Hat from Paris, ca. 1910
The period around 1910 is characterized by the large, elegant ladies hats. Unfortunately, from this period have survived only a few pieces – for understandable reasons. More surprised and happy we were able to purchase two "pearls" for our private collection many years ago.
This model is characterized by its summery look. Very large straw hat with the Parisian label „H. Saget * 17, Rue Ambroise Thomas * Paris“. Absolutely rare! This beautiful piece is decorated with summer flowers and an oversized pink silk-tulle-bow. The underside of the hat is lined with several green-blue tulle layers. The condition is god to very good. Only the top green-blue tulle layer is torn in places and easily replaced (see photos). The wire brim of the hat is easily visible. The price reflected the age, the absolutely rare size, the Parisian Label and the good condition. The decoration is not included in the price.
