Very rare jacket from the House of Worth, ca. 1899. Maybe a riding jacket. Currently made in Paris by Charles Frederick Worth. Black printed label: WORTH * 7th Rue de la Paix * Paris. Made of black ribbed silk. The front is completely decorated with trimmings. Hidden button facing for closing. Long sleeves decorated with mother of pearl buttons. The same buttons decorate the back. Deposé Paris can be read on the buttons. Lined inside with black silk. Two silk inside pockets. Small stand-up collar made of velvet. Lead weights in the hem of the jacket. The jacket is well preserved. One small tear at the side, one spot of abrasion. But all this is not noticeable. Three replaced inner buttons, which are not visible. The silk is fragile inside. The inner silk "rustles". The decoration is not included.
