Here we present one of the most opulent, beautiful and very well preserved wedding dresses from the late 1870s. Origin: American collection. The antique dress is a two-piece, consisting of a skirt and bodice. The skirt has a built-in lobster tail that can be laced inside. Additionally, there is a butt cushion built in. Long train, which is placed in folds. What a job in the waist area. The seamstress has understood her craft. Several layers of petticoats finally give the skirt its shape. In the front area - in the manner of an apron - lace has been processed, decorated with beads. Here, too, the whole area is folded. On the side, two ribbons decorated with fringes. The top is decorated with the same lace. This is extended and protrudes into the skirt. Half-length sleeves. V-neck. The top is laced in the back. The original lacing is present. Excellent condition. Probably worn only once and then - for reasons of piety - stored and forgotten. The decoration, including veil, is not included.
