What a luminosity this 165-year-old fabric still has! Unbelievable. The fir green silk damask fabric features a floral motif. The antique dress was probably worn as a visiting dress in the fall or early winter. It is lined on the inside so that it kept out the cold. The skirt in particular has a thicker lining (sewn on the inside). The antique dress is a two-piece dress. The top, which is elaborately decorated, is reminiscent of the military style in fashion history. Large pagoda sleeves decorated with original lace (Bedfordshire Maltese lace). Horizontal decorations in the form of fringed bands that taper towards the bottom. Front closure with buttons. The bell-shaped skirt has a lace dust band at the hem. In very good condition. One small stain on the skirt. Underarm stains. The decoration is not included.
