Bustle reception dress from France, ca. 1885. Label in the waist band: L. Savarre, 7 rue de la Bourse, Paris. Made of a ribbed silk fabric (gros de Tours). The antique dress is a two-piece, consisting of a bodice and skirt. The bodice has cream fabric with black patterns inserted in the bust, neck, cuff and belly areas. The bodice is hooked in the front and then closed with three bows in jacket effect. Peplum decorated with bows. Small stand-up collar. In the skirt, the motif and fabric from the top continue. In addition, there are fringes in the front part of the skirt. Three large rosettes of silk on each side. Beautifully formed bustle. Very well preserved. The fringes have become somewhat "threadbare". They must be treated with care. The decoration is not included.
