A printed wool gown and capelet from the Romantic Period, ca. 1839. The integral boned bodice with satin strapwork, pronounced V waist, the skirt side trimmed with rosettes and buttons, with pleats and fringes to the sleeves. Very good to excellent condition. Small brown mark front right bodice area. Couple of tiny moth holes. Small brown mark on fichu, minor. The decoration is not included.
