Rare Caraco jacket from the rococo period, ca. 1740. Origin: France. Brown ribbed silk with a colorful floral motif woven into it. Half-length sleeves, with a bulge at the back. In the front four rows of original buttons. Loops in the waist area, which made a tighter fit possible. These are bordered with a blue fabric. Probably the jacket was worn with a stomacher. Lined with linen on the inside. Excellent condition. The decoration is not included.
