Bodice from the Rococo period, ca. 1780, origin: England. The bodice is made of the typical silk of this period, with a floral pattern woven into it. The bodice was probably slightly modified in the middle of the 19th century. Perhaps for a carnival ball. This makes it even rarer, as these tops were usually not stored after they were worn. Well preserved. Underarm patches. A subsequently incorporated silk stomacher is still there; we have draped the top without it. The decoration is not included.
