Two-piece wedding dress made of champagne-colored silk, ca. 1870. The embroidered label on the waistband reads: Ralph Richman, Park Street, Walsall. Walsall is a town of around 170,000 inhabitants in the West Midlands in England. The antique dress consists of a bodice and skirt. The breast insert, collar and cuffs are made of blue velvet, as is the small watch pocket. Front closure with mother-of-pearl buttons. Small peplum weighted with lead. The skirt is pleated at the front. Puffed fabric panels are attached to the sides. The back of the skirt forms a typical cul. A lot of puffed fabric has been used here. The dress is in good condition. It appears somewhat dusty; minor stains; hem soiling. The decoration is not included.
The wedding dress still has the wearer's original wedding shoes. Champagne-colored silk, decorated with bows. In good condition. Discreet fastening in the silk (on the side and in the heel area).
