A rare pink and white striped muslin summer gown, ca. 1855. Collar and mancherons (an ornamental trimming on the upper part of a sleeve) are trimmed with cotton torchon lace. Fanned panels of tight pleats to bodice front and back. Integral camisole. Watch pocket to waist. Unlined skirt. Excellent condition taking into consideration of age and fine materials. One repaired place. One little stains. A beautiful and unique gown from the middle of the 1850s. The decoration is not included.
