A magnificent antique original late 1880’s embroidered ivory silk bustle ball gown. The bodice and skirt has hand embroidered with velvet red flowers and green and gold leaves. The embroidery work is exquisite. The bodice has a front lacing closure and is lined with silk. The shoulders are trimmed with epaulettes. The skirt hemline has a pleated ruffle that is made of ivory and burgundy. The skirt is fully lined with cotton. The dress is in very good condition. There are no holes or splits. There is a very small area of light underarm discoloration and a couple of very light age marks that are barely visible.
