Magnificent one-piece ivory silk faille having boned polonaise bodice with 3/4 sleeve trimmed in heavy chenille fringe with white beads. Closed on front with hooks and eyes and 10 ivory buttons. Underskirt draped in angled wide pleats over rows of ruffles comprised of pointed pleats, train edged in pleated ruffles and lace. Stiffened underskirt and attached bustle pad. A typical bustle gown from the 1880s! Petersham stamped "Robes & Manteaux * Mme Biasse & Co. * Rue St-Honoré 398 Paris." Very good condition, only a few little stains which probably come from the dance with the bride. The decoration is not included.
