Rare reception dress from the Empire period, ca. 1805-1810. Origin: France. Made in classical style. The bodice has a cotton bodice inside. Long sleeves, which is decorated with a small lace border. The same lace is attached to the collar. The neckline can be pulled tighter by means of strings. The skirt falls in the typical, slightly pronounced bell shape of the dresses of this period. The skirt is pleated at the back. The skirt is attached to the upper part as an "apron skirt" by means of strings. Cords and cotton part on the skirt were probably renewed later. Hand sewn, in a great tailoring. Small stains and abrasions in the silk. The decoration is not included.
