A very rare morning pelisse with long sleeves, ca. 1810. Origin: France. In the literature (Ackermann: Repository), these garments are also called "robe pelisse" or "negligee". The "Journal des Dames et des Modes" refers to them as "robe" or "tunique". Similar garments are illustrated in some fashion journals from this period. This pelisse is made of white gauze. Very long sleeves that were gathered, but so that they still covered the wrists. Beautiful applique in the shoulder area. Worn open. No lining, as the pelisse was worn as a sort of overdress. For the age: well preserved. Three holes on the back, one in the left sleev. Decoration is not included. Very rare.
