Elegant, three-piece society dress, ca. 1867, origin: England. The dress is made of gray silk. Grey is always an elegant color. There is something graceful about gray dresses. The antique dress is a three-piece consisting of a top, skirt and collar. The top fastens at the front with buttons. Wide silk cuffs decorated with bows. Finished with handmade lace. At the back, the top ends in a so-called “swallowtail”. Decorated with buttons. The collar can be removed. It is worn more in the style of a scarf. The pink silk on the collar gives the dress an ‘eye-catcher’ and ‘splash of colour’. The skirt ends in a long train. It is decorated at the front with horizontal bands of silk. Buttons are also attached at the end. In very good condition. 2-3 stains. Subtle signs of age and wear. The decoration is not included.
