Very nice cape, made in the style of a Dolman, ca. 1880. This type of cape, which had its origin in the Hungarian hussar uniform, gradually migrated into the women's fashion of the 19th century. This antique cape is made of ribbed silk and lace. Beautifully decorated with black cabochon stones and pearl embroidery. The cape is long at the front and short at the back - corresponding to the peplum/cul of the dresses of that time. The antique cape is closed at the front with buttons. Binding loop in the area of the neck. Inside lined with black silk. Remains of a manufacturer's label. Very well preserved. Some of the cabochon stones are missing. But this isoticeable. The decoration is not included.
