Elegant day dress from the late bustle period, around 1887, origin: England. The antique dress consists of a bodice and a skirt. The fabric is a woven silk fabric patterned with small flowers in purple and cream. The background of the fabric is also cream or ecru in colour. The bodice is fastened at the front with two rows of small mother-of-pearl buttons. The top is decorated with purple velvet, which can be found in the chest area, on the stand-up collar, on the cuffs and on the peplum. The purple velvet also interrupts the woven and patterned fabric in the skirt. The top and skirt are lined, so the ensemble was probably intended for autumn. In very good condition. Slight signs of age and wear. The hooks on the waistband are missing. Our doll is too large for the bust size of this dress, so the top could not be closed completely. Without decoration.
